Training Club
The British German Shepherd Dog Training Club has been established since 1928 and has always been heavily involved in the German Shepherd Dog Breed. Since its conception, the club has had experienced trainers and a dedicated committee who are experts within either the showing world or the obedience world. There have been numerous breed champions in both fields that have trained with the BGSDTC.
We frequently hold Open Shows for obedience and conformation. Also, we have Championship status for obedience every year and conformation every two years which are both renowned for an excellent venue, quality judging and a superb day out.
If you are looking for an exceptional club where you can train your dog for the show ring and in basic obedience, we may just be ideal for you.
We train on Monday Nights (except bank holidays) and our main aim is to socialise all of the dogs that attend, as well as training yourself how to handle the dog correctly. There are always a number of trainers and breeders to give a helping hand and offer useful advice. German Shepherds only for the Show Training but all breeds are welcome for the Obedience.
